All book revolves around this diagram. The model is called the Limitless model. If you know methods and have the motivation you are going to apply things and maybe they work because you have an absence of mindset. If you combine all three you are going to be LIMITLESS. Let understand this one by one.

PART 1, FREE YOUR MIND

In the first part, we have a story of Jim Kwik and how Jim choose to be a brain coach and how he did this. The basic meaning of this chapter is to free yourself from all outer conclusions about yourself. No one knows you are stupid or super smart.

The limits are only in our mind and we draw a line. We have to power to draw a line or erase a line. Let look at what digital things stoping you to be limitless. Digital is now a part of life and we can’t ignore it fully but we can try to use digital things in our own favor.

DIGITAL DELUGE

Information is now available at your fingertips. Nowadays people consume way more information comparing to the older days. Consume a lot of information makes you stress and ill. In older days, People have a lot of time and less information but today people have a lot of information but less time. It is very important to filter out the useful information that really matters.

DIGITAL DISTRACTION

Attention is time and money. All people in this world who want to sell something need your attention. When you are focusing on your project you can not afford to be distracted. In the future, People with knowledge are not called intelligent people who can focus on one thing for a long period of time is called Intelligent.

DIGITAL DEMENTIA

When is the last time you had to remember someone’s phone number? Because of a lot of information, we lose our ability to remember. We are slowing our minds. We think we become smart but in reality, we are losing our ability to focus and learn.

DIGITAL DEDUCTION

We also lose our ability to make a decision. Because of access to information, people stop thinking about problems and want answers quickly. That makes our brain lazy that why when the time comes to take some hard decision we fail because we never take small decisions so how can you expect something to take a major life decision.

What separates us from animals is our ability to think. I want to introduce a term that helps you to understand this concept easily. NEUROPLASTICITY- depends on our neurons’ ability to grow and connect with other neurons in other parts of the brain.

We have one more brain in your body and that is your gut-brain. Scientists call this brain the enteric nervous system (ENS). Gut-brain has its own way to process information and make a decision. Let me share a method that helps you to learn anything thing fast.

FASTER METHOD

F-FORGET
The most important part of learning is to forget. You want to forget what you know about that topic if you think you know something. You close the door of learning. The only thing you know is you know nothing. When you say “I know that” you shut down your brain. It’s impossible to draw something on used paper compare to blank paper.

A-ACT
The human brain does not learn as much by consuming as it does by creation. What people believe is learn is when you sit quietly in class and just listening to the teacher.

S-STATE
All learning is state-dependent. Emotion helps us to create Long-term memory. When you want to learn anything new be in a state of joy and curiosity. The higher the emotional state is higher the chance you remember anything for a long period of time.

T-TEACH
Learn to teach the information to someone else. Learning is not always solo; it can be social. When you teach something, you get to learn it twice. You can teach your friend (if you are in school or college).

E-ENTER
When you commit to learning something do you write it somewhere or not? Most people record birthdays, anniversaries, and many more on phones. Are you ever record when you go to study and learn anything? You just record this in your mind you forgot that and lose motivation. From now you record your important task on your paper and tear it when you work done.

R-REVIEW
One of the best ways to reduce the effects of the forgetting curve is to actively recall what you learned with spaced repetition. Researches show that human forget approx. 50% of what they learn within an hour, and an average of 70% within 24 hours. Recall every 15–20 days.

Now let moves to our first M is MINDSET.

PART 2, MINDSET: THE WHAT

Mindset is the first element of this limitless model. We all have some limiting belief in our mind that is very important to know them and then reframe them. Let look at how to reframe a belief

NAME YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS

The best is to name our belief like you are stupid (I am not saying that you are stupid but that is just a belief). Maybe your belief sounds like this “I am 27 and don’t get a job and I am surviving on my mom and dad income, I am a loser who never going to live a successful life, my life sucks”.

Imagine that this is your belief and you want to break that first you name that belief, I call that belief F belief. OK. Let’s move to the next step.

GET TO THE FACTS

Thinking that this belief is made by me or god. If you make this belief, you have the power to change that belief. Life has no limitations, except the ones you make. Let’s continue the example, In the case of F belief, you listen to the autobiography of the people who started at the age of 30 and become successful, which gives you hope that you can do something better.

After a month or 3 to 4 months, your attitude is going to change. Now your mind actively looking for ways so you can out yourself from this situation.

CREATE A NEW BELIEF

When you collect enough evidence that people are going to be successful at 45. You are now going to believe that your life does not fully suck. You also can do something with your life. Then it is a time that you create a new belief that supports you to be successful.

Now you know how to reframe the belief but there is one more important topic in this book. 7 learning lies that do not allow us to upgrade our brains. If we know these are lies we can easily identify them and crush them and upgrade our brain.

7 LIES OF LEARNING

1. INTELLIGENCE IS FIXED

This is the stupidest that you can not grow. You are born stupid. But the truth is the human brain has the power to grow when we learn something new. We can increase our intelligence by doing some brain exercises and meditation. The truth is intelligence is fluid. Our intelligent depend on how we learn and apply thing so that we get maximum output. This is the truth.

2. WE ONLY USE 10% OF OUR BRAINS

We all hear this myth one’s in their lifetime. This is a very popular myth and a lot of people are going to oppose me on this. But the truth is that different people use different percentages of the brain just like our body. This myth is very deeply present in our self because we see them in a lot of movies. You can use your brain in the best possible manner so that you get maximum results.

3. MISTAKES ARE FAILURES

Mistakes are failures if you don’t learn from them. Mistakes are just an opportunity to grow ourselves in the best possible manner. If you learn from your mistakes you are not doing any mistakes you are just trying and I am a huge believer in trying. There is no such thing as a failure there is only one failure and that is failure to learn.

4. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Knowledge is just like clay without taking any action this clay is going to be waste. People grab a lot of information but never take action. Without action, all knowledge is a complete waste. Knowledge X Action = Power. So so and take as many actions as possible. Try different things and maybe they work.

5. LEARNING NEW THINGS IS VERY DIFFICULT

People believe that learning only happens in the classroom. You can learn new things by applying things. If you are older than 40. You may have fear of learning but if you are 23 you can learn new things on daily basis. Don’t fear learning a new skill, Just convert your fear into curiosity then magic happens.

6. THE CRITICISM OF OTHER PEOPLE MATTERS

There is a big difference between feedback and criticism. There are a lot of people in this universe you can’t make everybody happy. So, do your thing and always try to upgrade your skills and add value to people’s life. If 10 out of 9 is not liking it produces content for that 1 person.

7. GENIUS IS BORN

We think that geniuses have a super brain but the real truth is that genius always upgrade their brain and they know how to upgrade their brain. There is a method behind the magic. The genius becomes genius because they practice enough of one thing. Genius is made through deep practice.

There is one grand lie- that we are limited. The only limits we have are the limits we believe.

PART 3, MOTIVATION: THE WHY

We can read with purpose. The meaning of purpose here is reasons. If you have a strong reason to read or learn anything new you are going to achieve it. When we know why behind anything that works becomes a passion. There is a great book called to start with why.

In this book, he describes why ‘why is important than how and what’. If you have strong reasons to do something no one can stop you. Ask yourself why before you do anything in your life. That gives you clarity as to what to do and why to do it.

But now question what does smart goal means is

  1. S- SPECIFIC
  2. M-MEASURABLE
  3. A-ACTIONABLE
  4. R-REALISTIC
  5. T-TIME-BASED

But if you want to work you need energy, Energy is super important for the proper growth of the brain and muscles. Let moves to another chapter that is ENERGY. Let me tell you 5 things that increase your focus and increase your power.

SLEEP

Sleep is super important to take 6–7 hours of sleep that help you take to be positive and increase critical thinking. The game is not about the quantity of sleep the game is all about the quality of sleep.

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stress is good until it conquers your faith. Stress is one of the great enemies of our brain. If you know how to manage stress, You are super awesome. I reduce or eliminate stress by reading a book, How you can do it comment?

NEW LEARNING

Our brains grow when we learn something new. When you learn something the size of your brain grows and your neuron makes deeper connections. If we learning continually our brain creates a new connection and we can stop aging.

POSITIVE GROUP

If we surround ourselves with people who have the desire to achieve something big there is a lot of chance that you also have the desire to change the world. Surround yourself with the people who have something great to achieve in their lives.

EXERCISE

When your body moves your brain snooze, so go do some basic exercise that helps you to lives a better life. You don’t need to go to the gym and try to build muscles instead of this you can do just a little bit of stretching that helps your brain to increase focus.
